The inspiration behind NatWeb Solutions stemmed from my enduring fascination with the transformative power of technology in the realm of business. Over the years, as I delved deeper into my career as a programmer, I came to realize that while there were many proficient programmers in the field, only a handful made the effort to comprehend business on a higher level and act as guides. Even Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), whose role was to bridge the gap between business requirements and technology, often remained fixated on technical aspects, neglecting the broader vision of the company.

Before founding NatWeb Solutions, I had the privilege of playing a pivotal role in building Miniexchange, which was later rebranded as Sprii. Joining as the third employee and CTO, I not only helped build the technical team but also had the unique opportunity to work closely with the founder. This experience enabled me to grasp the intricacies of business objectives at a profound level. I eventually transitioned from the CTO role to become an advisor for business needs.

Following that, I contributed to the development of The List (gothelist.com). Collaborating closely with the founder, Andreas, I gained invaluable insights into the requirements of a business aspiring to expand on an international scale. I began to perceive my work as more than just a technological aspect. Both companies I assisted reached Series A funding under my guidance, and it was during this period that I recognized a significant gap in the market—a need for comprehensive services that not only offered professional development but also assisted founders in building future-proof businesses.

This realization led to the creation of NatWeb Solutions, where I assumed the roles of CEO and CTO simultaneously. As I embarked on setting up the company, I had the privilege of connecting with two remarkable founders, Anas and Mehdi, who were working on Eyewa. Together, with me acting as an outsourced CTO, we laid the foundation for their business. NatWeb Solutions continued to collaborate with them, contributing to their remarkable journey.

With each passing day of NatWeb Solutions' existence, I felt a deep sense of purpose and motivation to expand our efforts, driven by the conviction that we were on the right path to help businesses realize their dreams and thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of technology and innovation.

Soon, a host of clients, including Timepiece360, Walidia Yachts, The Baby Boutique, Pass Abu Dhabi, Bodyhack, Falconry Experiences, and many more, joined hands with us. Their trust in our abilities propelled us forward and allowed us to showcase our commitment to delivering exceptional web development and design services. In addition to our swift ascent in acquiring clients, it's worth noting that NatWeb Solutions charted a unique course in its growth. Unlike many startups, we never ventured into fundraising efforts. From the very inception, we adopted a self-sustaining business model that proved to be not only resilient but also highly profitable. Sixkros, a dynamic e-commerce venture, offered a diverse range of products that catered to the ever-evolving needs of our customers. Its commitment to quality and convenience made it a popular choice among shoppers in the region.

Jubilya, on the other hand, specialized in delivering exquisite jewelry and accessories, offering customers a curated selection of timeless pieces that resonated with elegance and sophistication.

In addition to these ventures, we were also actively engaged in the development of a unique HR software solution. While this project was never officially launched, it represented our ongoing commitment to innovation and our dedication to creating solutions that addressed real-world business challenges.

Furthermore, as part of our collaborative efforts, my co-founder George Karam and I embarked on the development of The Cloud Food Ecosystem, which will be discussed further in the upcoming chapter. When Georges and I first crossed paths, he shared the long-standing struggles he had faced in bringing Happy Baby into the online realm. The hurdles were diverse, ranging from inventory management complexities entrenched in an older system to the monumental task of photographing a vast and varied stock. Nevertheless, I made a promise: we would take Happy Baby online. And we did just that.

We rolled up our sleeves, providing comprehensive photography services, resolving inventory challenges, and ultimately constructing an e-commerce website that remains operational to this day. It was a testament to the commitment and dedication of our team at NatWeb Solutions, and it marked a pivotal moment in our journey.

When Georges approached me with the concept of The Cloud Food Ecosystem, I saw it as an opportunity of immense potential. I recognized that if executed correctly, it could evolve into a legendary business. It was a challenging decision, as I knew it would signify the end of NatWeb Solutions, but the prospect of this venture was too compelling to resist.
