JobCentre: hiring in the UAE without the account ceremony
Every job board asks an employer to create an account before it will accept a single vacancy. That is backwards. On JobCentre you post the role first; identity is an email and a six-digit code, and there is no password to invent or forget.
JobCentre.World is a job board for the UAE, carrying live vacancies from real employers — hotel groups, developers, contractors, brokerages, retail brands. Candidates browse by category or by emirate, save roles, and email them onward. Employers post in under a minute, free.
How it works
- Post without an account: an employer enters the role and their email, then confirms with a six-digit code. No password, no onboarding funnel, no sales call standing between a vacancy and the board.
- Browse by category or city: twenty categories from Engineering to Domestic & Nanny Work, filtered across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and the rest of the Emirates.
- Save and forward: candidates can keep a shortlist and email a role to themselves or to someone else — which is how most jobs actually get shared.
- Free to post: the board earns nothing from an empty listing page, so listing costs nothing.

Why I built it this way
A job board is worth exactly as much as the vacancies on it, which makes every step between an employer and a published role a tax on the only thing that matters. Mandatory account creation is the biggest one, and it buys the operator almost nothing — an email you can verify is enough to own a listing. Removing the password removed the single largest drop-off point before a role goes live.
What this demonstrates
A production job board — listings, verification, categorisation, search, saved roles — built and run by one person alongside a full-time CTO role. The judgement on display is not the code; it is knowing which feature to delete. That is the same judgement I bring to client engineering organisations through the Engineering Velocity Audit.
