“Am I winning?” — the one number that matters
If you’ve borrowed to invest — or you’re thinking about it — the real question isn’t “how much do I owe?” It’s “is my money earning more than this loan costs me?” LoanPilot’s home screen leads with exactly that: your monthly carry and the spread between what your investments earn and your loan’s rate. Green means you’re ahead; red means the loan is costing more than it makes. One glance, honest answer.
See what your loan really costs
- True cost of borrowing — total interest plus every fee, and a simple “for every 1 you borrow, you pay back X” multiple.
- Fees handled honestly — processing fees and insurance can be deducted from your payout or added to the loan; LoanPilot models both, so you see the cash you actually receive.
- Totals that match your bank — reducing-balance or flat, with proper amortization. If the bank’s instalment differs slightly, one tap enters it exactly.
Understand your salary
Every month, LoanPilot shows how your pay is really split: how much the loan and your other commitments eat, how much your investment returns cover, and what’s actually left. It’s the “where did my salary go?” picture most budgeting apps never give you — tied directly to your debt.

LoanPilot — Privacy Policy
LoanPilot is built privacy-first. In plain terms: the app stores the numbers you type on your own device. We don’t ask for your name, email, or any bank login, and we don’t track you. This policy explains exactly what that means.
1. What LoanPilot stores
Everything you enter stays on your device by default:
- Loan terms and figures (principal, interest rate, tenor, fees, EMI).
- Investments, monthly returns, liabilities, salary/income figures, and any notes you type.
These are numbers and labels you choose to enter manually. LoanPilot does not connect to your bank, import statements, read SMS, or access your accounts. It does not collect your name (beyond an optional first name you may type), email, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or advertising IDs.
A random device identifier is generated and stored locally to distinguish this installation. It is not shared with us unless you enable Cloud Sync (see below), and it is never linked to your real-world identity.
2. Optional Cloud Sync (Pro)
If you choose to enable Cloud Sync, LoanPilot can back up your data and sync it to your other devices. This is end-to-end encrypted and anonymous:
- When you turn on sync, the app generates a private Sync Code that only you hold. Your data is encrypted on your device using a key derived from that code before it is uploaded.
- Our server stores only an opaque account identifier and an encrypted blob. We cannot read your loan data — we never receive the encryption key.
- We do not collect or store your email, name, or device identifier to provide sync. Your cloud data is identified solely by the random Sync Code you control.
- If you lose your Sync Code, the cloud copy cannot be recovered — this is the trade-off for true zero-knowledge privacy. Your local copy on your original device is unaffected. Please save your Sync Code somewhere safe.
You can delete your cloud data at any time from within the app (“Delete cloud data”), which permanently removes the encrypted blob from our server.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
- We do not show ads or use advertising/tracking SDKs.
- We do not use third-party analytics that profile you.
- We do not build a profile of you or link your data to your identity.
4. Permissions
LoanPilot requests no sensitive device permissions (no location, contacts, camera, SMS, or storage access to your files). Internet access is used only to deliver optional Cloud Sync and to check your subscription status.
5. Subscriptions
Pro is an optional subscription sold through the Google Play Store. Payment and billing are handled by Google under its own terms; we do not receive or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation of whether your subscription is active.
6. Data retention & deletion
- On-device data: removed when you delete the data in-app or uninstall the app.
- Cloud Sync data: retained as an encrypted blob until you delete it in-app or it becomes inactive; you can remove it anytime via “Delete cloud data”.
7. Children
LoanPilot is intended for adults managing personal finances and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
8. Hosting
Optional Cloud Sync data (encrypted, anonymous) is hosted on servers operated by the developer (DigitalOcean infrastructure). Because the data is end-to-end encrypted, the hosting provider and the developer cannot read its contents.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
